CragStone was founded in 1997 by a Silicon Valley
software and web developer as a part-time freelance venture. Since its
inception, CragStone has developed into a full-time concern employing design,
programming and business professionals to provide multi-functional websites to
individuals, small businesses and large corporations.
The resulting economies of scale enable CragStone to offer its premier
Edge Series Web Design to individuals and small businesses at some of
the lowest rates available- opening new marketing avenues to many of these
smaller concerns.
The philosophy at CragStone is that every business should have affordable
access to the most modern tools available to do the most business possible.
No longer a "nice to have" feature for businesses, websites have become the new
Yellow Pages listings: Either you have one that customers can find, or you
don't and lose the business. CragStone's commitment to its philosophy is
evident in our Edge Series packages, our special offers, our guarantees and our
customer service. You've come to the right place for web
design!

The average annual income of a small
business that utilizes the Internet is $3.0 million per year compared with an
average of $1.9 million for small businesses in general (IDC, April 2000).
We live in a world where businesses increase their exposure and their revenue
by having a presence on the Internet. 67% of these businesses gain new
customers, 56% of them increase total sales (Small Business Expansions in
Electronic Commerce, June 2000 - U.S. Small Business Administration: Office of
Advocacy).
With the nature of business changing so that even the smallest of companies
benefits from investing in a website, CragStone believes that every business
should have affordable access to Internet exposure. With technology changing so
that new tools and services are available to companies who want the Internet
advantage, CragStone believes that customers should be able to employ as many,
or as few, of these features as is appropriate for their business.
See Edge Series for details.
The U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy, reported in "E-Biz:
Strategies for Small Business Success" (October 2002) that "Small Businesses
sell primarily to Internet Consumers:
- Less than 10 percent of online commerce is Business-to-Business
- Only nine percent of all small businesses sell entirely to other businesses.
- Unexpectedly, even within the construction industry online sales are
primarily to consumers."

Value
customer service.
The level of service that you provide is one way to separate yourself from
your competitors. Many small businesses depend, to some
extent, on referrals. Make sure that your customers are
happy enough to want to refer you. Follow up
transactions with a thank you. Always thank customers
for their business.
